If you have had treatment with myself or Liz, you will have heard us undoubtably talk about Zen liniment spray. Truth is there are so many liniments on the market to use – and if we could – we’d stock them all! But we have found a few that have worked best over the years. They particularly support your self treatment, self-care – especially in between treatments and self spiky ball work – where you need to let the body rest and heal. So I thought it was time to write a blog post on the products that we use in regards to liniment and balms, making it a one-stop shop for you to learn more about the products we use on you!
As I started writing this post, I couldn’t stop writing about the ZEN spray, so decided to give this spray the glory it deserves – its own page!!
Zen liniment.
This spray comes in two varieties – original and sports. The difference between the two is the original blend has a long ingredient list of flower bark remedies and the sports variety, whilst the ingredient list is shorter, contains much more arnica in it. Arnica is used to FastTrack The healing of bruising. Bruising occurs in your muscles when they are under strain – we call it micro bruising. The straining of muscles isn’t only applied in people who are active in sport, this can apply to anyone who has sore tight muscles anyway! Just our day-to-day life where we need to carry ourselves in a certain way and quite often, posturally wise, we don’t realise we are holding ourselves the incorrect way, we are putting our bodies, our muscles, under strain. From this point of view, we encourage all of our clients to try both original and sports versions so that you can see which one your body responds to better.
Another reason why we love Zen spray is that marries extremely well with other balms and liniments. Quite often a client will tell us they are already using a liniment/ cream e.g. fisiocrem – we simply encourage them to apply the spray with their liniment cream application – taking the healing even further. It’s a game changer!
We also love this spray because it can often mean the application is very quick. A couple of sprays and you’re done – no need to rub it in. We love versatility and getting on with the day and want this for our clients too!
Whilst this liniment comes in dropper form, gem form and spray form, we don’t recommend using anything but the spray, for exactly what was mentioned just now – ITS QUICKEST in its application. Spray and you’re done!
The ailments Zen liniment spray is excellent for are as follows.
– General muscle aches and pains
– Joint pain Such as shoulder, elbow, hip and knee pain to name a few. Great for those with mild arthritis
– Swelling; Excellent for spraying onto rolled ankles and applying on any joint that is swelling such as knees / knuckles etc
– Bruising; The ingredient of arnica will assist the healing of the bruising to move out of your body faster
We have had clients tell us that they love using the spray to assist in the relief of headaches. They dab a little on their fingers and rub into their temples. You can also spray at the base of the scalp to assist in the relief further
Other clients have reported that using the spray while experiencing menstrual pain can be extremely helpful.
One client reported whilst using the spray for sore neck and shoulders while experiencing a sinus/cold – the Japanese peppermint really cleared up her nose!
Liz and I have informally renamed this spray as Liquid Gold in a Bottle!! Not sure how this quickly this will catch on, but you get the idea!!
